Mkay... First of all, I would like to point out there's actually several version of the tale. The Disney one is more based on Tchaikovsky's ballet and Charles Perrault's (he wrote Tales of Mother Goose. If you don't know that tale along with the Brother's Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen I suspect you've yet to graduate from childhood :p haha!) version but just the 1st part.

Perrault based his on Giambattista Basile's "Sole, Luna, e Talia" (Sun, Moon, and Talia) but gave it a little twist, making it more.. um... children friendly so to say. Now, Basile's was the freaky version I told Hus and before that, made the psycho in me laughed with glee and all "ho shit, damn that, yo!"



First, there were no fairies, good or evil, but just a prophecy that Talia (sleeping beauty varies in names, depending on which or whose version you're referring to) would be endangered by a splinter of flax. Yes, there was that whole ban the flax from this household thing, yada, yada, yada~ and a lady spinning flax on a spindle. Talia asked if she could try but then a splinter goes under her nail and she "dropped dead". Daddy loved her too much so instead of burying her, he puts her in one of his country estates.

Then, after sometime a king was hunting nearby and found her, a sleeping beauty.

He tried to wake her up but she just wouldn't wake up.

He raped her and left her in the country estate, still asleep. 9 month later, she miraculously gave birth to a pair of twins (Yes man he raped her and got her pregnant with freaking twins in her sleep! Tah mane the babies get nourishment time tu. Aku suspek Talia osmomsis dengan udara sekeliling XD ) and one of them, apparently hungry, tried to suck her milk but can't find her breast and suck on her finger and somehow that managed to pull out the flax from under her nail and she woke up.

HAHAHAHA AKU TROMA KOT BANGUN2 AKU ADE ANAK KEMBAR!

But somehow she was cool enough to name the boy Sole dan the girl Luna and live with them in the estate. Tak tau daa ape hantu rasuk the king, he came back again and found the three. Padan muke kau, rape orang pastuh kawin lain, tidur meracau name 3 beranak, kantoi dengan bini sendiri!
